In the Corner and Wait for the Rain
As I took my leave
into the
tin-roofed shack
where she had the man
the door open,
the smell of coffee
greeted me.
I sat in the corner
and wait for the rain
to wash out the reports
to wash out the stories
out the madness
out the shame.
